Y-Crossover Pipes are used to connect headers to stock or Bassani Exhaust Systems on vehicles with single OEM exhausts.  Most OEM crossover pipes utilize a Y-Shaped design with press bent tubing.  Press bending creates wrnkles in the tubing, which adversely affescts air flow. All Bassani Y-Crossover Pipes are manufactured with mandrel bent tubing, and in some cases the diameter is altered to optimize exhaust system performance.

If you are upgrading the exhaust system on your vehicle, we recommend using Bassanis Power X Crossover Pipes with catalytic Converters.  Premium "High Flow" cats are used and all factory connections are retained.  Compared to an off-road crossover pipe without cats, there is virtually no difference in power output.   So for street use, cats are definitely the way to go.
